Commissions

I would love to create a commissioned portrait for you or as a gift for someone special. Or… perhaps you’ve seen one of my paintings that has already sold. I would be happy to create something similar, but exclusively yours.

The process can vary from one client to the next, but my goal is always the same: to create a painting that is uniquely yours and delights the owner. 

Here’s how I begin:

1. I will need a photo that is clear enough so I can see the eyelashes in it. Or, we can do an in-person sitting that I will photograph. This can take place in my studio, your home, or in an outdoor setting.

2. During the sitting, together we will choose the best photo-one that you love and that I also feel will make a great composition for your painting.

3. Depending on the size, my painting time is usually around four weeks.

4. If I am painting from a sitting, I may ask you to come to my studio for a last pose to get down all the final details.

My Commission Pricing:

1. The price of your commissioned painting will be based on the size you choose.

2. I require a 25% deposit after our first call or meeting.

3. The balance is due upon completion of your painting.
